Sue Hovland--founder

Anatomy for Healers Program Founder and Past Director, Sue Hovland is a retired RN, Healing Touch Certified Practitioner and Instructor, and Certified Massage Therapist. She had a long time interest in the human body, and studied it from many disciplines including: Nursing, Massage, Neuromuscular Therapy, Cranial-Sacral Therapy, Lymph Drainage, Visceral Manipulation, and human dissection. 

Starting with Janet Mentgen, Founder of Healing Touch Program in 1992, Sue  attended many workshops in various energetic perspectives and  Janet became  Sue’s mentor as  she  certified in Healing Touch  as Practitioner and Instructor for Levels 1 & 2. She continued to study with  Janet throughout her life and received Janet's supported for founding te Anatomy for Healers program in 1997.

Other well known healers Sue has studied with include Rev. Rosalyn Bruyere and others in her Program (Rev. Shelby Hammitt and Rev. Debra Denker), Mary Jo Bulbrook’s Energetic Healing, NAET Allergy Elimination Technique, Sandi Radomski’s Allergy Antidotes, Barbara Brennan, Brugh Joy, Rudy Noel, Axiatonal Alignment, Reiki, and many other healers. 

Now retired, Sue  was n in private practice in the Denver, CO area since 1990.  During this time, she directed an ongoing Healing Touch group at her church for 20 years, and mentored several groups of HT apprentices.  She taught Healing Touch since 1990 locally,  at the Community College of Aurora for 10 years, and the Colorado School of Healing Arts for 2 years. She has presented entertaining workshops at Healing Touch conferences, keynoted at the Healing Touch Program Int’l Conference in 2008, the California HT Synposium in 2011, and the HTP Midwest Conference in 2012. 

Her inspirational work and legacy continues through her mentoring and extensive training of the new Anatomy for Healers Instructors; Nancy Lester, Anna Marie Newman, Jeannette Nienaber and Walle Adams-Gerdt who fondly and with much gratitude share Sue's enthusiasm and passion for this work.
